Beginner’s Yoga
Yoga activities are now being considered as the most wanted technique of keeping the mind and the body healthy. This is the reason why various centers have been opened for helping the beginners in learning the techniques of yoga properly.
Yoga activities are beneficial for people at all ages. It can give best results within few days if performed correctly. Most people are not in the habit of doing any kind of exercises. It’s really difficult to merge their spirit all together and start doing certain exercises. Every person needs to be careful while starting anything of this kind.
Your very first exercise would be to warm up the body. Continue performing this act till the moment you get expertise in it. It helps in providing basis for the other asanas and gives a push to the muscles and joints.
Beneficial results of doing yoga
There are specific standing and sitting positions due to which the breathing gets normal and helps in proving relaxation and peace to the entire body. Both are better for the legs and improves the blood circulation inside the body and cure problems related to indigestion also.
Twisting exercises are also there which heals the backaches and improves the condition of the shoulders. After doing this work out the body becomes flexible. They are again helpful in treating heart problems and even help in reduction of body weight.
For improving the condition of the spine and abdomen supine and prone positions of yoga are beneficial. They give strength and energy to the legs, back and arms.
Back pose can increase coordination and concentration. Backbend poses are helpful for the kidney and adrenal glands.
Finishing poses are the final action which is performed for cooling the body.
Things to be done:
- Stay light before doing yoga therefore the best time for performing this activity is early morning between 5-6 am. During this time, the body is absolutely empty stomach. You can even perform asanas in the evening but do not have a heavy meal during your lunch.
- Drink good amount of water after and before the exercises. It improves the flushing power of the body.
- Wear loose clothes which can let the air pass. Avoid wearing both socks and shoes during this time.
- Stay relaxed and leave your body in a relaxed position only.
- Try and perform meditation and breathing asanas even at night. This is helpful in healing mental anxiety.
- Stop performing these activities if they are making you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes it happens that certain positions of yoga affect in a negative way especially for beginners. In that case do not continue doing them before any consultation with an expert.
- If you are starting to take classes then tell your teacher about it. This way he/she will give better attention to explain all the things and help you start properly.
- Do give some attention to the other students. You’ll get equipped with the techniques in a much better way.
Try to gather some correct information about the postures or asanas. There are various methods available nowadays which can help in providing relevant information. The mostly commonly used one is internet. Apart from this books and magazines would also help a lot.
